ReThink Conflict: A New Approach to Anger Management

In-Person

This series of six sessions is for adults who want to build their anger management skills but through a Restorative Justice lens.

Community Accountability Board (CAB) Volunteer Training

in-person

Provides hands-on learning and skill building to prepare community members as volunteers for a Restorative Justice process. Trained volunteers are essential for CABs, which bring together everyone affected by harm to share their perspectives and collaborate on solutions that address everyone’s needs. CCR conducts CABs for cases referred to us by the courts.

Presented in partnership with the Historic Sante Fe Area Council and the Key Coalition Neighborhood Association.

Interpersonal Conflict Resolution (ICR) Workshop and Mediation Training

In-Person

Learn your personal conflict style and how it relates to other styles, plus gain new skills to address conflict in everyday situations and conversations.

Learn the foundations of transformative mediation, then practice new skills in a supportive environment with experienced coaches.

Recommended for - community members (age 18+) who want make a positive impact where they live, work, or go to school.

CCR is a Kansas Approved Dispute Resolution Program under Supreme Court Rule 913, and this training is approved for Core Mediation Training under Supreme Court Rule 914. This training also qualifies for alternative dispute resolution training under Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17.

This training meets the qualifications for MO or KS mediation certification.

*Must have completed ICR Training with CCR before taking this training.

Recommended for - community members (age 18+) who want to become a mediator or formally use transformative mediation skills in their professional work.

This training is not specific to any career. CCR is a Kansas Approved Dispute Resolution Program under Supreme Court Rule 913, and this training is approved for Core Mediation Training under Supreme Court Rule 914. This training also qualifies for alternative dispute resolution training under Missouri Supreme Court Rule 17.

Foundations of Restorative Justice (RJ)

Learn about the indigenous roots of RJ, the concepts of dignity, universal needs, and how it differs from criminal justice. This interactive training includes using restorative processes in schools, out in community, and with justice-involved individuals to break the cycle of violence and repair relationships.

Intro to Circle Processes

In-Person

Circles are a structured, restorative practice that have been used by groups and communities for centuries. This workshop offers a basic introduction to concepts and how to apply them. You’ll participate in different types of circles, learn more about the elements of a circle, and leave able to create a community-building circle.

Trauma Awareness & Healing

Trauma, and the effect it can have on our lives can last a lifetime. This class will begin to uncover types of trauma, how we might experience it, and ways to move through it. We are not destined to “ just live with it“. If you are a practitioner or looking for personal insight, this experience has something to offer.

Foundations of Restorative Justice Training (for educators only)

In-Person
